Lux Benigna, Variations on a Scottish Folk Tune Duet for Cello and Contrabass (or two Contrabass)

3 Variations on a Scottish Tune. Both Cello-Bass and Bass-Bass versions are included in the download file. The upper line can be played by either Cello or Contrabass; the Contrabass line is written for a high school level player comfortable alternating between upper and standard positions. The lower line, for Contrabass only in both versions, is truly intermediate, written on a junior high school level. This Scottish tune also serves as the basis of the song, “Praise to the Man”. This piece was originally written in 2010, then updated in 2016.
